Citizens Electric Announces Protocol Updates
Covid-19
As the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) urge people to limit contact with one another, Citizens Electric’s sta has decided to close the lobby of our Perryville o ce until further notice. Payments and applications for service can be made via our drive-thru, and we encourage members to use CEC Mobile, our app for Android and iOS, to make payments or report outages as well. Members may also call us at 877-876-3511 or contact us via email at citizens@cecmo.com.
Along with closing our lobby, we are also canceling Children’s Safety Days in April. CEC holds Safety Days every two years. is event brings electric education and safety to more than 1,000 students. Safety Days is one of the largest events hosted by CEC and the decision was not taken lightly. We feel that it is be er to follow the recommendations of the CDC.
If you feel sick, have a fever, or are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please stay indoors and away from others. CEC has taken precautions for our front-line works, but we need your help to ensure that employees are healthy and able to provide you with safe, reliable electricity.
